Pathway programs pave the way for future careers
At Glencore Queensland Metals, our pathway programs have supported school leavers, university graduates, aspiring tradespeople and First Nations peoples - all with one shared goal: building a future in the mining industry.
For Kate Sutton, Coordinator of Pathway Programs at Mount Isa Mines, seeing that journey unfold is one of the most rewarding parts of her role.
“We regularly go into local schools and universities to talk to students and provide insight into the opportunities available within our industry. Not everyone is aware of what we offer, and most students don’t know what they want to do when they finish school,” Kate explains.
“Sharing that information is key to helping the next generation discover career paths that inspire them.”
