The operation is located 12 kilometres from the town of Clermont in Central Queensland.

We transport coal by overland conveyor to stockpile and rail loading facilities at the nearby Blair Athol mine. It is then railed to Dalrymple Bay Coal Terminal for export by ship.

Ownership

In 2014 Glencore and Sumitomo Corporation acquired Rio Tinto Australia's 50.1% shareholding in the mine, with Glencore becoming the mine operator.

Glencore manages the operation on behalf of a joint venture between Glencore and Sumitomo Corporation (37.1325% each), J-Power Australia Pty Ltd (22.235%) and JCD Australia Pty Ltd (3.5%).
