Our Queensland Metals business is part of Glencore, one of the world’s largest globally diversified natural resource companies, with around 150 mining and metallurgical sites and oil production assets globally.

Premium ISA brand copper

Our copper operations include the Mount Isa Mines complex in Mount Isa and our refinery in Townsville.

We produce a globally renowned, premium copper product known as ISA Brand copper cathode, sought after all over the world thanks to its high quality.

A major source of zinc

Glencore also operates one of the world’s largest zinc resource bases at Mount Isa Mines. Mining takes place at George Fisher and Lady Loretta underground mines and is processed onsite to produce zinc and lead concentrate, and lead bullion.

Glencore Port Operations

Our copper, lead and zinc products are exported to customers around the world from the Port of Townsville.
