Mount Isa Mines gives 50 local families the chance to experience the Rodeo

Mount Isa Mines is getting into the Rodeo spirit with 50 Family Passes to the 2026 Mount Isa Mines Rodeo up for grabs.
The competition will give 50 local families the chance to attend the Rodeo at Buchanan Park on Saturday 8 August.
Glencore’s Mount Isa Mines has supported the Rodeo since it began in 1959. As a Foundation Partner, we provide annual funding and in-kind support to help deliver one of the city’s largest and most celebrated events.
Mount Isa Mines Health, Safety, Environment and Community Manager and Rodeo Committee member Jonathan Eden said the giveaway would help more local families enjoy the event at a time when many households were facing cost-of-living pressures.
“Mount Isa Mines has been part of this community for generations, and supporting local people and events has always been important to us,” Jonathan said.
“The Rodeo is a special time for Mount Isa. It brings our community together, welcomes thousands of visitors and gives us an opportunity to showcase our city and region and increase local economic activity.
“We’re pleased to give 50 local families the chance to be part of the action this year.”
