COREHealth - Supporting your health and wellbeing

While physical safety is a priority for us at Glencore, we are equally as focused on the mental health and wellbeing of our people.

Our health strategy COREHEALTH strives to increase the health and wellbeing of our people and encompasses three focus areas.

  • Controlled work environment

Focuses on understanding and controlling hazards in the workplace to avoid impacting the health of our people. Hazards may be biological, chemical, physical or psychosocial in nature. We have developed a risk-based approach to the management of all health hazards.

  • Fit for work

Recognises that impairment in the workplace, if not identified and managed, can increase the risk of incidents. Impairment may be caused by fatigue, alcohol or other drugs, or other physical or psychological conditions.

  • Fit for life

Considers the health status and health needs of our people. Assisting our people to improve health and wellbeing through training and education, targeted health initiatives and resources to promote healthy lifestyles.

As part of our health strategy, we are excited to launch our new Health, Wellbeing and Rewards program – Fit for Life. The program offers a range of resources, tools and discounts to our employees and families to support you to remain fit for life.

Tools and resources

Life can throw challenges at us that impact our health. We recognise that for many of us, these challenges can include - health and lifestyle, fatigue, physical health,  injury and pain, and mental health.

The fit for life family will guide you to the tools and resources to help you build the knowledge and skills to remain fit for life.

  • Lifestyle Fit

Recognising and managing lifestyle risk factors helps us avoid chronic disease and remain fit for life.

  • Fatigue Fit

Fatigue is a risk to our health and safety. Managing fatigue is important at work and at home.

  • Body Fit

Preventing pain and injury keeps us active for life. Injuries are a major pain. Prevention, early intervention and treatment will keep things working well.

  • Mind Fit

Being mind fit helps our daily wellbeing. Implementing strategies to maintain psychological health and safety is important throughout our lives.
