Privacy Collection Notice - Glencore Australia Holdings Pty Ltd - Mightiest Mullets in Mining Competition 

Purpose of collection

Glencore Australia Holdings Pty Ltd, and its Australian related bodies corporate (Glencore), is collecting the personal information you provide, including your name, contact details, and the photos you submit, for the purpose of conducting and administering the Mightiest Mullets in Mining Competition, including selecting winners, notifying prizes and promoting the competition.

How your information will be used

Glencore is committed to protecting your privacy and will deal with your personal information in accordance with our Australian Privacy Policy and Collection Statements.

By entering the competition, you consent to Glencore using your submitted photo for: 

  • Selecting and announcing winners;
  • Publishing in internal and external communications, including but not limited to our social media channels, website and marketing materials related to the competition; and
  • Internal record keeping and statistical purposes.

Disclosure to third parties

Your personal information may be shared with service providers assisting with the competition, including marketing agencies or IT service providers in accordance with Glencore’s Privacy Policy. All third parties are required to comply with Australian privacy laws.

Accessing and correcting personal information

You may request access to, or correction of, your personal information held by Glencore by contacting Privacy@Glencore.com.au.

How we store and secure your personal information

We will retain your personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes outlined above and will securely delete or de-identify it when no longer required.

Voluntary disclosure

Providing your information is voluntary; however, if you do not provide the requested information or consent to the use of your photo, you will not be able to participate in the competition.

By submitting your photo and entering the competition, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this collection notice and consent to the collection, use and disclosure of your personal information as described.

Terms and Conditions - Mightiest Mullets in Mining Competition

  1. Eligibility:

Entry is open to individuals currently employed in the Australian mining industry.

  1. How to enter:

Entries must be submitted between 1 November 2025 and 11:59pm AEST on 30 November 2025, either;

  1. Entry requirements:
  • Each entry must include a clear photograph of the entrant.
  • Photographs must not feature any individuals unless their express consent has been obtained.
  • Only one entry per person is permitted.
  1. Selection and judging:
  • A shortlist of finalists will be determined by Glencore Australia.
  • Finalists will be subject to a public vote by followers of the Glencore Australia Facebook page during 1 to 7 December 2025.
  • The entries receiving the top three highest numbers of votes will be deemed the winners.
  • Votes will be counted based on the number of reactions (e.g. 👍 ❤️ 😮) received on each finalist image posted on the official Glencore Australia Facebook and Instagram page. Each reaction counts as one vote.
  • If there is no clear outcome based on vote count (e.g. a tie or technical issue), the winners will be determined by Glencore Australia at its sole discretion.
  1. Prize:

The three winners will each receive a Glencore merchandise pack. The prize is not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be redeemed for cash or any other form of compensation.

  1. Use of entries:

By submitting an entry, participants grant Glencore Australia a non-exclusive, royalty free, perpetual licence to use, reproduce and publish the submitted photograph in internal and external communications, including but not limited to social media, websites and promotional materials.
