We are a significant contributor to the agricultural industry in Australia, connecting agricultural commodities safely and efficiently between growers and customers in Australia and overseas.
We originate, handle, store, transport and market a range of agricultural commodities, including wheat, barley, oilseeds, pulses, sorghum, meals and cotton.
As one of the largest buyers of grain, oilseeds and pulses, we have close, direct relationships with many growers.
We are one of the leading exporters of Australian grain and we operate world-class storage and handling assets across the country, including upcountry storage sites, export port terminals and container packing and processing facilities.
We farm about 24,000 hectares of cropping land across south-eastern Australia. Our farms utilise cutting edge precision farming techniques to maximise production and ensure the farms are managed in the most sustainable and environmentally responsible manner.
We work closely with export, domestic and end-use customers. Through a strong focus on quality control, food safety and reliability, we meet each customer's exact and diverse requirements.
In doing so, we make a positive contribution to local economies, Australia's relationship with key trading partners and food security in highly populated developing countries.
In 2016, we connected more than 9 million tonnes of agricultural commodities from Australian farms with customers around the world.
Last year, we also sold a 49.99% stake in our global agriculture business to two Canadian pension funds. The transaction aims to provide us with opportunities to grow the business as the global agriculture sector continues to consolidate. It remains business as usual across all our marketing and storage and handling operations.
